Awarded Designer,Photographer,Creative Director Grier Govorko has worked, traveled and lived in almost every corner of the world. He's battled brutal viral infections in Shanghai; slept on the cold ground amidst blaring trumpets in rural western Serbia; unknowingly circumnavigated the planet with a hole in his diaphragm; held court as a sound engineer in London for bands like Motorhead and the Pogues; been nominated production designer of the year worldwide for shows he designed for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, had a worldwide publishing deal with Macmillan for a book of photography he shot called Bodyparts, designed the bed of the future Somnus-Neu, which is featured in Fast Company magazine, The Robb report amongst others and designed and founded Q-Speakers a line of high end active speakers.
Griers' willingness to push boundaries has landed him much critical acclaim. His production design for the Chili Peppers 3-day concert run at Hyde Park in London a concept which centered around a massive 100-meter wide video installation has risen to the level of legend in production design circles. In 2006, coined outrageously innovative he created an Arena show and put the audience inside the video with the artists.
A self-proclaimed idea person, Grier is quick to note that no design project should ever be out of reach: You dont have to say Im a such-and-such designer. You simply design.
His work has been featured in publications internationally, he continues to consider ways to push boundaries, and raise the bar in which ever medium he chooses to work.
