Out of the loop

I haven’t written in a while – I have been thinking though. A list of thoughts that went something like this
- Why is there so little reporting out of Afghanistan since the “biggest movement of U.S Marines since Vietnam” I have a sneaking suspicion that the “make friends with the locals” ploy – isn’t going over so well. Hardly a surprise given the history of both parties. Although I did think Stewart Nusbaumer covered the first week honestly
- Why were we surprised when Goldman Sachs turns around and announces average 700K a year employee pay packages without a hint of guilt as the U.S unemployment rate continues to climb. The Matt Taibbi piece in the Rolling Stone spelled it out.
- Why does anyone think GM can rebuild, repackage, redo and get out of the gate running – the CEO freely admits “he knows nothing about cars” – business aside – surely you have to love the thing your making/selling/designing – I wouldn’t want to make Tea Kettles – or sell them – I could care less about Tea kettles
- Why is it now becoming news that China has invested so far in the biggest Solar projects on the planet – I wrote about it 2 years ago I think.
I don’t know the answers just yet but I have a funny feeling that
In the Loop
may well, if not have answers, at least make you laugh while you ponder
Out of the loop
