For years I’ve been wondering about the stupid, annoying, time-wasting, revenue sneaking tactics of cell phone companies with the ridiculous automated messages before you leave a voice mail – or leave message, or check your messages. Although I never got around to writing about it – here’s a fabulous piece in the NY times covering the very topic.
He’s dealing with U.S carriers – I’ve had t-mobile accounts and verizon accounts and Pac bell accounts in the U.S – I’ve had Vodaphone and telecom accounts in NZ – no matter which side of the pond your on the same sneaky tactics on the part of the providers seem to be the same. It’s time to change it.
